Our first home improvement of the season- a storm door! It sounds silly but I was so excited for it to get here (we special ordered it) and to have it installed. We didn't have a very good view of the street before, and it adds so much more light (and warmth!) during the day. And the kids love being able to look out and see what's going on! We also just got a sump pump put in (not exciting, but worth the peace of mind in case of a heavy rain or snow), and next up we will be painting the ENTIRE inside of the house.. yep, every wall, except for the closets. It will take some time, but it shouldn't inconvenience us too much since I will be able to paint while the kids nap or sleep and they will be able to sleep in their room right after I paint it (we will be using zero-VOC paint = no fumes). Then we will be doing a small back patio extension. We probably won't do too much else since we will only be able to enjoy it for about 3 years :)
